Steve’s Doughnuts is a locally owned business, completely dedicated to the joy of a delicious hand crafted pastry and a good cup of coffee.

Steve Pennington, Owner

Lifelong fan of doughnuts and avid foodie, Steve enjoyed a 14 year career in the tech industry before getting back to his roots and hitting the kitchen fulltime. He has been scouring the countryside for excellent recipes and is excited to bring all sorts of great new tastes to the Ridge.

Our Vision

We focus on making really good doughnuts out of really good ingredients. But there is more…

Do you ever think about how far the food you buy at the grocery store has travelled? Well, for most Americans the answer is an average of 1500 miles. Some estimates have stated that half of the petroleum burned in the United States each year is done so to produce and transport our food supply.

At Steve’s Doughnuts we are hoping to shrink that number dramatically.Flour from Eastern Washington wheat, eggs from Snohomish County, dairy from organic farms in Southwest Washington… Just as a start. Our ultimate goal will be to buy as much as possible from our neighbors, and to be able to tell our customers the names of the farmers who provided the ingredients. Yes, Sugar will be hard.

Beyond locally grown, organic foods we’ll also be striving for all of our baked goods to be vegetarian, and will have a selection of vegan pastries. We aren’t vegetarians ourselves, but if we can’t guarantee meat-free doughnuts, then that’s just… wrong.

We will not be producing any doughnuts with peanuts due to a prevalence of allergies in our community. This is a tough trade-off since peanuts are such a common ingredient, but we value the safety and happiness of our neighbor’s children.
